Bubble Tea in Chinese: Order Like a Local 🧋
4 min read

Let's be real: one of the best arguments for learning Mandarin is walking into a bubble tea shop in Taipei or Shanghai and ordering entirely in Chinese like it's nothing.
It's a small moment, but it hits different.
Bubble tea (珍珠奶茶, zhēnzhū nǎichá, literally "pearl milk tea") has its own little vocabulary universe — drink types, toppings, sweetness levels, ice levels. Once you know it, you'll be navigating any boba menu with total confidence.
